I am deeply passionate about skiing, snowboarding, and all things mountain!
I started out on the slopes 25 years ago when I lived in Chambéry, France and tried cross-country skiing, snowboarding and skiing. I then did a ski season in Tignes in 2000/01 and have skied once or twice a year ever since. I've even completed a week long, military, cross-country ski across Northern Sweden carrying all my kit (and falling over, a lot!).
This is a bit of a retro photo of me competing in the snowboard slalom event of the Navy ski championships a 'few' years back.

I always found it frustrating that there wasn't a ski servicing workshop near me, so my skis and snowboards weren't kept in as good condition as I'd liked them to be.
I finally took the decision to complete a Wintersports Technician's course to reinforce my existing knowledge and experience and I am pleased to have launched JC10 Ski Tuning to support my fellow skiers and snowboarders in SW London so that we can give our skis and snowboards the love they deserve!
I set up JC10 Ski Tuning at the start of the 2025/26 ski season. Since then I have completed more than 300 services on snowboards, piste skis, park skis, touring skis, powder skis, children's skis, short skis, and sit skis. Some customers needed express servicing, others needed a storage wax, some needed some base repairs and all needed someone local to get their kit in good working order ready for their next ski trip.
By the end of May 2026 my Google Business Review page (https://g.page/r/Cc3a4rkmc8doEAI/review) had received 32 reviews, all of which are five star (thank you!), and I have had 17 repeat customers. I hope this helps you book with confidence!
I've also realised that there isn't really an off-season, so I won't be "closed for the summer" after all! I will be keeping the workshop open, albeit expecting far lower demand during the summer months, especially for people who need their kit prepared for trips to the snow in the Southern Hemisphere, for storage waxes, base repairs, and for dry slope and indoor slope ski users/racers.
